Studio culture is often described in abstract values, but scaling pressure exposes whether those values are operational or decorative. When teams grow from 20 to 120 people, informal coordination fails first. Decisions become slower, accountability diffuses, and conflict surfaces earlier. Culture survives growth only when the studio codifies how decisions are made, how disagreements are resolved, and how responsibilities are delegated across disciplines.
